Matt Crawford is a bass player and multi-instrumentalist based in Wollongong, about 1.5 hours south of Sydney, Australia.

Playing bass professionally since his late teens, Matt has established himself as an in-demand session musician within the local and Sydney entertainment scene. 

Matt is a versatile musician who has worked with many different artists from across Australia and around the world. Matt is experienced and comfortable playing a variety of musical styles. 

In 2017 Matt returned to study, completing a Bachelor of Creative Arts: Music at the University of Wollongong. Matt has previously studied at the Australian Institute of Music and the Wollongong Conservatorium of Music. 

Aside from session work, Matt is also involved in a number of projects including working with singer/songwriter Wolf Gordon and the South American fusion group Yakumama from Peru

Matt is also a founding member of 'The Patio Sessions', a collective of musicians, filmmakers and audio engineers who showcase local musicians and performers from Australia and around the world via YouTube.
